151 - FIRE ATTACK ENGINE

151 is the Department’s first due engine for structure fires. This truck is capable of transporting 6 firefighters, has firefighting foam capabilities, a 1,500 GPM pump and carries 1,000 gallons of water.

152 - RESCUE ENGINE

152 is the Department’s rescue and hazardous materials truck and second due engine for structure fires. This truck is capable of transporting 5 firefighters, has firefighting foam capabilities, a 1,500 GPM pump and carries 1,000 gallons of water. It carries extrication equipment as well as equipment and materials used to contain spills at haz-mat incidents.

153 - BRUSH TRUCK

153 is the Department’s second due truck for responding to brush and field fires. This truck is capable of transporting 3 firefighters, has a 250 GPM pump and carries 300 gallons of water.

154 - BRUSH TRUCK

154 is the Department’s third due truck for responding to brush and field fires. This truck is capable of transporting 3 firefighters, has a 200 GPM pump and carries 250 gallons of water.

155 - LADDER

155 is the Department’s first due ladder truck for structure fires. This rear-mounted aerial with platform can extend up to 101 feet, has a 2,000 GPM pump and carries 250 gallons of water. This truck is capable of transporting 6 firefighters and also has a set of extrication tools.

156 - TANKER

156 is the Department’s tanker truck and is used to transport water to locations without a working fire hydrant system. This truck is capable of transporting 3 firefighters, has a 300 GPM pump and carries 2,000 gallons of water.

157 - SUPPORT VEHICLE

157 is the Department’s support vehicle and is used for multiple tasks including transporting crews to emergency scenes and towing the Department’s trailers.

158 - BRUSH TRUCK

158 is the Department’s first due truck for responding to brush and field fires. This truck is capable of transporting 3 firefighters, has a 175 GPM pump and carries 225 gallons of water.

159 - EMS

159 is the Department’s truck used for medical calls. This truck is capable of transporting 5 firefighters/first responders and has a wide variety of medical equipment onboard.

HAZ-MAT

The Department’s haz-mat trailer responds to large haz-mat incidents. This trailer contains additional equipment and materials that are used to contain and clean up spills at haz-mat incidents.

MASS CASUALTY

The Department houses a mass casualty trailer for the Johnson County Emergency Management Agency. This trailer has a wide variety of medical supplies and equipment that can be used during a mass casualty event.

WATER RESCUE

The Department houses a water rescue boat for the Johnson County Emergency Management Agency. Staffed by Tiffin firefighters, this boat is primarily used for water rescues and recoveries.

WILD THING

Wild Thing is the Department’s tracked all-terrain vehicle that is used for off-road medical incidents as well as responding to brush and field fires. There hasn’t been a terrain that the Wild Thing hasn’t been able to conquer.
